How Oklahoma adopts the NEC
Technical committees review a new edition with public comment and make advisory recommendations; the Commission may then start APA rulemaking to adopt it under 59 O.S. 1000.23. Adopted rules are published in the Oklahoma Register and Administrative Code. No legislative step appears in the OUBCC Act or in OAC 748:10; general APA legislative review was not sourced.
Cycle. Irregular: 2014 NEC (2015), 2017 (2021), 2020 (2022), 2023 (2024); 2026 edition now in committee review.
