Minnesota uses ASHRAE 90.1-2019 rather than an IECC edition. DLI’s title says it is 90.1-2019 ‘with Minnesota amendments’; DOE lists no state amendments.
How Minnesota adopts the IECC commercial
The commissioner adopts commercial energy codes by rule. Statute says that beginning in 2024 the commissioner acts on the new model commercial energy code, and that the code in effect in 2036 must achieve an 80 percent reduction. A progress report goes to legislative committees each January 15 after an adoption. No docket for the next commercial update was found.
Cycle. Statutory schedule for energy codes through 2036.
