How South Carolina adopts the IECC residential
Section 6-10-30 names the 2009 IECC as the Energy Standard (a 2012 act replaced 2006 with 2009), so changing the edition appears to need an amendment to the statute. The Council’s 2025 adoption notice says the 2009 IECC is statutorily adopted and lists no newer IECC.
Cycle. Irregular; set by statute.
