State fire rule names NFPA 1 (2006), not the IFC. The rule text is the 2011 filing on the state ORR site.
Exceptions
- Local governments may adopt their own fire safety ordinances (1941 PA 207 sec. 2b), so local IFC use is possible but not a state requirement.
How Michigan adopts the IFC
The Fire Prevention Code act makes the Bureau of Fire Services responsible for rules under the Administrative Procedures Act. Fire rules adopt NFPA documents by reference. JCAR review applies as for all rules.
Cycle. irregular; the adopted NFPA 1 edition is 2006

Read twice: a second, blind reading of the state’s record agreed with the first on .
The state’s record was last read on , from two source pages.
Evidence 2 sources
Sources for the record itself come first, the state’s own records ahead of others. A label marks a source about something else, such as an exception. A source marked secondary is not the state’s own record.
